Joe Wingman has landed at Kendra and Anthony’s Hand-Crafted Pizza in Wilmington! The new logo will appear on signage, advertisements, packaging, and more. It has been difficult keeping Joe Wingman a secret over the past few months. Joe and I have worked hard at developing a logo that is both fun and refined. We want a branding image that is more polished than the everyday wing joint, but still belonging to the same food category. Joe, owner of Kendra and Anthony’s Hand-Crafted Pizza has utilized my design skills with his other brands such as: K&A Cones, J2 Soda and his the place where it all started, Kendra and Anthony’s Hand-Crafted Pizza. Stop by for some high-flying wings. You will not be disappointed! http://www.kendraandanthonys.com/
Here is an illustration I created for Kendra and Anthony’s Hand-Crafted Pizza in Wilmington, Massachusetts. The owner, Joe P. requested this image to utilize on menus, pizza boxes and advertisements. I tried to give this illustration a loose and energetic feel, but also show the physical detail of the restaurant. Make sure to also check out Joe P’s soda, J2 Soda under the “product label” page.
Above, is a cross-promotional advertising campaign. I was asked by Fitness Together in the North End, Boston, to create unique posters to help promote the fitness facility, as well as the stores that displayed the posters. These posters tied in themes of fashion, fitness, health, and self-esteem. The women featured in each poster had a look of anonymity, allowing any woman to place themselves in a strong, healthy and proud physique.
The Zakim Bridge. This illustration was created by combining multiple photos, and then drawing and editing with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Typical with much of my artwork, I felt inclined to make this scene surreal.
“Gunga” is and has been the official, unofficial mascot of Philips Academy, Andover. The marketing team requested my illustration services because Gunga’s image needed a revamp. He is a wacky, blue gorilla who has been known to appear at school events. My illustration was modeled after images of the real Gunga as well as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figure I still have (also a gorilla, and yes, I still like toys).
Before Gunga was created, the marketing team at Phillips Academy asked me to design new black and white illustrations and jazz up their annual community service program booklet. In the completed booklet, 18 of my illustrations were used to highlight various programs. Here are some page slices:
Here is an up-close look at probably my favorite of the bunch:
Below, is an illustration created for the owner of Absolutely Pawsitive (see “logos”). This collection of dogs were created shortly after the completion of their company logo. This image is the basis of Absolutely Pawsitive’s sister boutique, Barking Gardens. The boutique store and doggie daycare center is expected to be open early fall, 2010.
Here is an anatomical illustration I created just for fun. I studied several different images to generate an original illustration. This was created before I knew I wanted to pursue education, but maybe deep inside I knew it even then.

Joe
Andy did a GREAT job on ALL of my projects. He IS my graphic artist, always capturing exactly what I want. Easy-going, energetic and hard working are only a few traits that he brings to the table.
