This sign was such a fun project to work on. The owner of The Clothes Vine, Maria D, was looking for an understated, elegant and delicately-fun sign to represent her cute consignment boutique in Melrose, Massachusetts. In addition to designing this sign, I also designed her logo and other advertising pieces throughout the store.
This sign was a Christmas gift to my in-laws. They rebuilt their N.H. lakehouse and it is beautiful. It has warm-wooden paneling floor to ceiling and a simplistic rustic design. The landscape in the painting is the view we are lucky enough to enjoy from the front windows of the lakehouse.
Here is another gift I made for my in-laws, before I was officially in the family. I must have thought they were cool a while back, huh? This painting might be the first landscape I liked enough to not paint over with something else.
“Small Log” was the name given to my in-laws’ lakehouse because it was a log cabin until it was rebuilt in 2008. I refurbished their sign and tried to maintain it’s “campy” feel but also make Snoopy and the letters pop a little more.

Working with Andrew on my logo and hand-painted sign was a great experience. He listens to his client’s ideas and requests, while adding his own talent and perspective. The end result of the projects exceeded my expectations and I look forward to working with Andrew again.
